Collingwood man turns a hobby into a growing tech firm
March 24th, 2018
For Barry Morwood, working with technology has always been his passion.
When the Collingwood native was 19, working as a baker at Tim Hortons, using the income to not only support himself but also his mom, who had a disability from a fall when he was younger.
He said this was before automation and the job was considered a skilled trade so the money was “decent,” but said he made too much and wasn’t eligible for student assistance funding.
He said he always played video games as a kid and took an interest in how they were made and wanted to make them himself.
